I had the pleasure of working with Lucy on Festival Players’ production of the Scarlet Pimpernel in which I was a sub principle. Throughout the final rehearsal periods and the production itself Lucy showed a great deal of skill and commitment to the job. Not only was the final makeup result high quality, it was often performed under pressure in between scenes for quick costume changes.
A real asset backstage, I sincerely hope to work with her again very soon!

Dear Lucy,
On behalf of the Festival Players society I would like to thank you for your help with the makeup and backstage support for the Scarlet Pimpernel (Mumford Theatre). I hope we didn’t load you up too much, being the only makeup person. I kow the men, in particular, appreciated having you there. Also, thank you for making the Bounders look so good, especially as fops with their pale faces and beauty spots. The best thing for me was that I didn’t have to look over what you were doing, you just looked at my brief and went with it.
Liz has asked me to also thank you for your help as a dresser during each performance. Gavin, especially had some very quick changes and having you there to put on shirts, jackets, etc. was really helpful.
I hope we will see you again next year, if you haven’t been put off!
